About Me
Emma Block is an illustrator and author living in north Essex, working from her little blue studio in the garden. She works across publishing, editorial illustration, licensing, packaging and branding. She has written and illustrated many books, including Keeping a Creative Sketchbook, The Joy of Watercolour, Get Started with Gouache, and Watercolour Life. She has also illustrated the children’s book series, The Adventures of Miss Petitfour by Anne Michaels.
Emma loves inspiring people to embrace their creativity. She has taught in many different formats over the years, from in person workshops, international retreats, online courses, her books and her popular Patreon account. Her Domestika course now has over 15,000 students.
Emma’s work is inspired by travel, nature, little moments of joy in everyday life and her son.
